Topps Direct – personalised cards in under 24 hours

The challenge

To create an “end-to-end” solution (from online ordering, through manufacture and on to final delivery to the customer) for 5 additional, personalised cards. These to incorporate white print, plus 4-colours onto foil card and precisely match those in the existing Match Attax range.

The solution

As it was critical that players shouldn’t be able to determine even subtle differences between these and the current cards, and because consistency of quality was key, Prime;

  • Built integration into its existing website and shopping cart functionality
  • Included a photo-upload facility allowing images to be easily incorporated and previewed.
  • Printed the cards using an opaque white ink only possible using HP Indigo digital technology
  • Researched, tested and manufactured an unusual foil sheet to replicate the retail versions
